About Debbie Ducic (Do You See? I See!)

I have been involved in “Women’s Issues” ever since I can remember in one way or another. In fact, I remember as a child, learning how to stand my ground with my Grandpa, Dad and Brother.

I was a “Women’s Libber” before it was cool to be one and now I’m still one even though it’s no longer “politically correct”. But over that period of time, I have taken part in THOUSANDS of meetings, seminars, classes, training programs, lunches, coffees, fund raisers forums, brainstorming sessions…you name it, if it had to do with women, I WAS THERE.

Now I’m over 50 and one of the advantages that I have after being involved with them for so many years is that I find myself networked with some of the most DYNAMIC, INTELLIGENT, TALENTED and CONNECTED WOMEN (and men)…Many of them as committed & passionate as I am!

We’ve made it a point to seek SOLUTIONS AND OPTIONS for dealing with challenges in our lives and know that other women are searching for the resources it has taken us a lifetime to find.

We KNOW first hand the challenges, needs, wants, dreams. We’ve collected so much information, our file cabinets and now our websites will be STUFFED!

One of our  most PROFOUND  “Aha’s” is that technology has opened up an AMAZING window of OPPORTUNITY for creating the kind of lifestyles and incomes that can TRANSFORM people’s lives! Never before have we had a chance to level the economic playing field for minorities and women as we have with this new technology and the World Wide Web.

I realized about 6 years ago, while living in the “boonies”, and playing the “sandwich generation” game, that Web Design and Internet Marketing could be the answer for me and my family. The more I learned, the more excited I got about the POSSIBILITIES…from which the DREAM of GUTZY WOMEN was born!

As I PRAISED the BEAUTY of technology however, I noticed the FEAR in the eyes of those I spoke with. As I sought to find the answers to our collective challenges, I realized that I myself needed more handholding and patience from teachers and mentors when it came to taking the actions needed to create INCOME from  my efforts!

From that experience, plus all those years of looking for SOLUTIONS, GutZy Women was BORN! But like many of you have experienced, LIFE seems to always throw another challenge in our paths, and we get sidetracked.

I want to believe it’s because the RIGHT TIME will come.

NOW is YOUR TIME if you are reading this today. I INVITE you to JOIN this INCREDIBLE community of like- minded people who are COMMITTED to more FREEDOM and ABUNDANCE through the use of technology and Multi-media tools.

To learn MORE about Debbie Ducic’s BACKGROUND

Managing a high end resort ski shop 90 hours a week, having no family close by to help, and trying to find decent, affordable childcare was more than Debbie Ducic, founder of GutZy Women, LLC, bargained for. Knowing that she was not the only working mom going crazy in Vail, Colorado, she started a networking group to gain and offer mental support. That was the beginning of her long road to connecting women and advocating for their causes.

Working in retail would never give her the freedom or income that she desired and so she made a scary career/life change and got into the world of money and investments. Sales and motivational training opened up a whole new world to Debbie. The fact that she worked out of home, made her own schedule, and had complete control of her income literally changed her. She had time to spend with her young son, and extended family.

During that time, Debbie was chosen Zontian of the Year and conducted the Young Women in Public Affairs Award Program as well as the local Girl of the Year Award. She was chair of the Business Women’s Network Leadership Committee, helped plan and implement the Celebration of Women and was on the steering committee of Women’s Spirit.  She was the kickoff speaker for The AARP Women’s Financial Program, introduced Dotty Lamm at the Celebration of Women and spoke with the likes of Barbara Marx Hubbard, a well-known futurist.

As a business owner and women’s issues advocate, Governor Romer and later Governor Owens, appointed Debbie to the Colorado Women’s Economic Development Council, where she served for 8 years. There was even a run for Vail Town Council.

While serving as President and Webmaster of the Pueblo Business Women’s Network, much of Debbie’s time was taken up with moving in a disabled grandma and nursing a sick Dad. In between she was on the 2010 Commission’s Economic Development Committee, The Pueblo Technology Alliance, The District 60 Technology Community Partnership, The Mi Casa Women’s Resource Center’s Advisory Committee, The Teen Pregnancy Initiative Best Practices Committee and an ad hoc committee to create a High Tech High at Corwin Middle School.

Her independent attempt to pull women together to create change for women and girls inPueblo caught the eye of the Women’s Foundation of Colorado, who  recruited Debbie to spearhead their Status of Women Project. That series of brainstorming sessions culminated in a $5000.00 grant to create a virtual clearinghouse for entities serving women and girls, called the EVE-olve Center, which Debbie hopes to make the non-profit arm of GutZy Women, llc. With the help of GutZy Women across the world, Debbie’s dream of EQUALITY, FREEDOM & ABUNDANCE for all will come true!
